WSS Summit Circle Capsule Briefing 001

The July 14th Convergence

On July 14th, Microsoft’s Patch Tuesday lands on the same day support ends for SharePoint Server 2016 and 2019 — and it’s the date the researcher known as Nightmare Eclipse has promised to publish new exploits. Thousands of on-premises SharePoint servers across government, defense, healthcare, and finance will lose patch support on the exact day someone has signaled an intent to weaponize them.

This first Capsule Briefing works through what that convergence means for defenders and who sits most exposed, including the federal and DoD installations still running legacy SharePoint mid-migration. We’ll close with a working read on what to do before the date.
